Job Profile Description: Development of ECU (Engine Control Unit) software I work on development of Automobile software using Embedded C as a programming language. I work for customer department. We have to customize the software according to specific customer needs and should handle all the queries. I am currently working for TATA, Piaggio, Daimler and Eicher customer projects. One interesting thing in our working environment which I felt quite different is "Lab cars". We use the lab cars to test all the software which we develop. After the code build is completed, we flash the executable to ECU. By connecting this ECU to labcar we can simulate anything and everything related to vehicles starting from Fuel system to diagnostic behaviors.
