Brig H R Gopal (1946 Civil)

One of the senior-most alumni, who is still very active and regular touch with current happenings at the college, Brig H R Gopal joined the Army in 1947, when India got its Independence. He was part of the Bengal Engineer Group or famously known as Bengal Sappers. Apart from raising to the fifth highest rank in the Army, he has also been awarded Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), a military award of India given to recognize "distinguished service of an exceptional order" to all ranks of the armed forces.
